Hu Bo
ANCESTOR
In the 1980s
our watch factory
often organized dances.
Beautiful melodies rose
from the dance floor:
The Blue Danube,
spring waltz,
slow waltz,
Viennese waltz,
disco,
rumba,
tango,
tap dance.
Some styles were
elegant,
some were mysterious,
some rather bold.
My favourite was
tap dance,
very clear rhythm,
easy to understand.
Some say Wang Lun, when he sent off Li Bai
danced in this
way.
The difference is,
you need leather shoes on the dance floor,
but not those with nails.
As for Wang Lun,
he was barefoot,
instead of music he had his
tongue.
