A READING

people are the same anywhere
anytime, although progress
is very​ very precious
you don’t​ have to be a poet
to realize people and animals
and plants​ and the sun
and the​ earth should be respected

sometimes it’s nice to root for a place​
even a continent maybe​
but to begin a war is wrong
especially if you are big and​ strong

you don’t have to talk about the war
it’s close, but not that close, thank god
we talk about each others’ lives
we are all thankful we’re not in Shanghai

art is good, pictures, music, words
to meet each other and care for another
to read, to listen, to eat and to drink
life is very precious
take care

人都差不多
无论身处何时何地
虽有进展 这很珍贵
你不必成为诗人
才了解 人类 动物
植物 太阳
地球 应获得尊重

有时 扎根一个地方是好的
甚至也许是一片大陆
然而发动战争就是错
尤其你如此強大

你不必讨论战争
战争很近，却又并不那么近，感谢上帝
我们谈论彼此的生活
我们都庆幸我们不在上海

艺术很美好，图片，音乐，文字
遇见并关心
去读、去听、品尝与畅饮
生命宝贵
且珍惜
