NIGHT LIKE AN ILLUSION

Deep in the night
I turn out the light
lie down on my bed
pitch black all around me
as if I’d been dragged into a church
can’t see anything
I stretch out my hand to touch the night
but can’t feel her skin
I kick her
but she doesn’t cry
I kiss her
but she doesn’t kiss me
I hug her
but she doesn’t hug me
I guess the night is an illusion
I love the night
