Ai Hao
CONSOLATION

Having cared for me a few times
after big operations,
my father seems to have found his calling
in the hospital back home.
He’s a health worker,
income’s not bad,
but he cannot forget
to sigh with regret:
“If I had some education,
it could be even better.”
This time I used another way
to console him.
“Dad, look at me.”
