Ma Yakun
BLOOD DISAPPEARED

Worked with wood,
squeezed a finger, got a purple bubble out,
very painful.
Wanted to prick it with a needle,
thought of playing my Qin tonight,
just had to leave it.
Played fighting with little son after dinner,
discovered the bubble had long been broken,
didn’t know where the blood had disappeared.
I was rather worried,
looked for the blood
all evening in secret.
