Two young women
slip into the gynaecology ward.
The doctor asks questions,
every time it’s the escort who answers.
The doctor asks the escort
to wait outside.
But the other woman
walks outside with her.
The doctor gets impatient,
“It’s you who is pregnant,
what are you walking out for?“
In the corridor I saw
the two women adjusting their masks.
In our small town
at the start of the virus
they were the first to hide their faces.
