all kinds of assorted windshield wipers
all sorts of snipers
maybe some kind ones
kind to their weapons
and also to people
something
in all sorts of people
when you listen
to water, to wind
when you feel the sun
in the woods
when you find
something to share
bare for the joy
when we walk
anywhere
in paths and trees
in cemeteries, in streets and fields
sharing ourselves
with the light and the night
within and around
each other

RUNNING OUT
I am running out of days
everyone runs out
in the end
but don’t worry it’s not that bad
world doesn’t stop
for everyone at the same time
it’s the end of the month
the 31st
and I promised to finish a book
months ago years ago
I guess this is the poem
I wrote the night before
not last night in my head
before I went to sleep
and then I forgot it
