I finally figured out how to leave a comment here. /// What I like about this poem is the compassion for the human condition. Compassion comes through because you trace the paradoxes of human nature; you show its incredible range of possibilities and foibles. Sometimes the paradoxes are elusive, yet this poem traces them. This poem values the tenuous, fragile, half-hidden aspects of human nature…To me such an inventory affirms the tender creative possibilities that don’t always get a chance to shine because blind forces crush them. So compassion for these tender possibilities comes through between the lines. But at the same time, there is also space for regret and shared suffering and dread and outrage..

Thank you! I made another one called Leute in German. It is different, even more than the Chinese here is different from the English. Yes, what you said, these are important criteria for me. Thank you for all your comments and interactions! This is what gets us going as poets.
