過一會再說
Ai Weiwei
Talk to you later
I have mankind’s weakest character, always listening to nature
in any event
我是人類性情中最弱的一種聽其自然
在任何事變中
In the city
Haven’t seen a kid in three months
Hawking rubber balls like before
Having no songs
With the left eye, the singing eye
Aim at the right one
城市
三個月沒見一個孩子
照舊販賣皮球
沒有歌
用唱歌的左眼
瞄準右眼
Then it’s the disease of moving season
Burying new positions at every place
A tall tree from the other side of the earth
Comes out on this side like a green shoot
然後是搬家的季節病
到處埋下新的位址
地球另一邊的一棵大樹
從這一邊長出來像一株綠苗
People who save other people refusing to save themselves
God is as good as before
But what’s with my buttons
Desires I don’t want to express
救人的人拒絕救自己
上帝與以前一樣好
但是我的鈕扣呢
不願說出的願望
You listen
Rumors flowing like a clear spring from the most honest mouth
But the night has been wrung dry by dreams
And hung on the bed before dawn
I believe there will be a generation living to be the youngest
They won’t try to prise off the hands at their necks

流言由最誠實的口中流出如清泉
但夜早被夢擰乾
搭在天亮前的床上
我相信總是有一代人活得最年輕
並且不會設法去拿開掐住自己脖子的手

Life vainly thinking of meaning
On both ends of a telephone line
The same rendez-vous made three hundred times
啊
生命虛榮地想像著意義
在電話線的兩頭
一個約會被約了三百多次
Therefore
Going nowhere
Letting the words disperse that have been said to much
We have the chance to be walking along our cranial nerves
所以
哪裡也不去
只是讓講了太多的話有機會散開
而我們趁機沿著腦神經走走
There is a cat making you jump
but someone jumped him many times
so he disappeared all at once on the impossible road
有一隻貓會嚇人一跳
但那只貓被人嚇了好幾跳
一下子沿著不可能的路消失了
Smiling faces looking older
Every sentence works for the one before
Rather than waiting in such a long line
I’d like to have back what’s not there
笑臉更舊了
每一句話在為前一句而忙
排如此的長隊
還不如把虛無還給我
The holidays are starting now
They say this year there are too many toys in the stores
And so all the world promotes the joy of having children
假期從現在開始
有人說今年商店裡存積了過多的玩具
所以世界提倡生孩子的樂趣
But this is emptiness without laws
And so someone told me
If it is you
Talk to you later
但這是無法無天的虛無
所以有人對我說
如果這是你的話
過一會再說
