NEUES JAHR
Gesang und Schampus, Riesen-Fraß;
Raketen, Böller, rasender Tanz;
Ecstasy, Auszählen, Sex oder Streit, Traurigkeit …
Mit Freude und Schmerz, auf alle möglichen Arten
begeht man Neujahr.

Liebe Freunde,
Hoffe, es geht Euch gut. Wir vermissen Beijing und China. Maia wird im September 14. Gestern hat sie mein chinesisches Handy genommen und ein Lied immer wieder laut gespielt. Dann bin ich nach Hause gekommen, und wir haben einen Film auf Chinesisch gesehen. Leo war zuerst irritiert, dann hat es ihm auch gefallen. Er ist 11. Hat noch immer Sprechprobleme. Unsere alten DVDs haben Kratzer. Aber nach wie vor ist der Fernseher nicht angeschlossen, nur zum DVD-abspielen. Unsere Wohnung beim neuen Hauptbahnhof ist schön und angenehm. Wir haben auch Freunde im Haus. Aber wir sind eher am Rand. Österreich ist ein reiches, relativ sicheres Land. Aber politisch fühlt es sich ebenso unsicher an wie China. Anders natürlich, weil ich Österreicher bin. Aber nicht besser. Jackie ist Amerikanerin. Sie ist in Wien geboren. Ihre Oma ist aus Niederösterreich. Ausgewandert nach Holland. Interniert in Djakarta. Überlebt, dann Jackies Mutter geboren. Jackies Vater kommt aus Riga. Im Krieg geflüchtet. Später als Soldat zurück nach Europa. Wie gesagt, uns geht es gut. Österreich ist in Gefahr. Ich übersetze und schreibe. Heuer kommen zwei Bücher heraus.

I harbour no prejudice at all
against any poetry,
including colloquial poems
and lyrical expressions of feeling.

Writing good or bad poetry is not important.
Anyway we are all brothers!
3)
I don’t write for fame or profit, I am a pure amateur.

Good or bad, cow parts or not, wait for history’s judgment!
5)
Just keep quiet and stick to your writing, who needs to fight and find fault all the time?

REMORSE
The village head in his last stage of anus and intestinal cancer
came to our door one day
to apologize for hitting my mother
and hurting her arm five years ago.
My mother was still too angry
to let him come in.
Told him he could have killed her,
