My desk neighbor,

at the history exams,
bought a roll of toilet paper on Taobao,
printed with the main points of history.
One day when she didn’t pay attention,

况禹点评《新诗典》游若昕《历史的一角》:有喜感。喜感背后起支撑的，仍是我们熟悉的内地学校教育所特有的气息。只是这次镜头太近，已近乎“偷拍”——这就是“诗人卧底”所带来的效果。本诗属于纯写实，与作者以往那种想象力跳脱式的写法不太一样，但游若昕就是游若昕，即便写实也还是比旁人多出不少生趣来。
黎雪梅读《新世纪诗典》之游若昕《历史的一角》: 这是若昕版《同桌的你》，虽写的是求学的日常，细细品味，却别有一番滋味在心头，它不是一般的酸甜苦辣，有着青苹果的清甜与纯净；满是纯真无邪的少年情怀与深挚的同窗之情，也许若干年后回想起来嘴角依然会微微上扬。这样的记录不仅仅是当年的情景再现，更是自己一段青春岁月与生命情感的密码，在漫漫的人生长河中的尤显得弥足珍贵。

FERNER BERG
Der ferne Berg gleicht einer schwarzen Pyramide.
Die Seele des Pharaoh kommt nicht übers Meer,
auch nicht über die Ebenen rundherum.
Schlangen, Krähen, auch Kragenbären
halten die Gipfelregionen besetzt.
Am Fuß des Berges
leuchten Motorradscheinwerfer auf
und verschwinden wie Glühwürmchen.
Ich weiß, das sind Wanderarbeiter nach ihrer Schicht.

整首诗围绕着一个漂亮的比喻“远山像金字塔”展开，但没有为比喻而比喻，而是继续循此喻体生发，这种生发亦不是无中生有，而是从目力所及的塔尖到塔底，从蛇、乌鸦、狗熊到农民工，写出了事实的诗意，写得自然而深刻。
黎雪梅读《新世纪诗典》之陈庚樵《远山》:好一幅《民工夜归图》，在夜的背景之下，高峻的远山与渺小如蝼蚁的民工，以及“蛇,乌鸦,还有狗熊/占据了塔的顶端”与“是农民工下班了/塔的底,有他们的家”，形成了鲜明的反差；合理的比喻和联想令诗歌充满张力，“金字塔”、“法老”这些富有异国情调的内容，使诗歌透出一种无法言喻的神秘感，纷繁的意象被赋予了复杂而丰富的内涵，诗人深厚的文学和文化素养由此可见一斑。而对农民工生活和生存状态的同情与关注，是本诗中别具人情味，又于无形之中感人至深的那一部分。

MANTIS
The moon was not all over the mountain,
but I had a feeling,
standing alone in the dark,
being swallowed into the air.
The world was immense,
I was infinitely small.
This old house with its dim light
had been lived in before my grandfather,
two generations before I was born.
I came back from other parts,
my mother was at the stove, catching a mantis.
Fed him sesame oil, let him out on the grass.
Murmuring, warning our ancestors not to come back.
So I have a special respect
for every mantis.

vor langer zeit schon
haben wir von diesem vogel gesprochen
keine ahnung woher er gekommen ist
wir waren ganz aufgeregt
er hat uns zum lachen gebracht
an einem abend im winter
in der nacht, da ist er gekommen
wir haben tief geschlafen
niemand hat ihn gesehen
erst in der früh im sonnenlicht
haben wir auf dem glas
einen kleinen schatten bemerkt
der war lange dort
und wollt noch nicht weg
wir haben den winter verflucht
das lange schlafen im winter
wir wollten eine rote lampe
dauernd brennen lassen
um dem vogel zu sagen
dass wir auf ihn warten
die trauben im hof
sind wieder auf dem rahmen gewachsen
die fenster waren nicht mehr zu
wir haben noch auf den vogel gewartet
an einem samstag
bedeckter himmel, kein regen
sind wir zusammen ausgegangen
um ein neues kleid für mich zu kaufen
es ist dunkel geworden,
bei dem wonton-laden mit vielen leuten
haben wir jeder zwei große schüsseln gegessen
auf dem weg zurück
waren wir ganz still
haben uns innerlich nicht wohl gefühlt
daheim angekommen
die lampe im hof ist aufgeflammt und erloschen
eine kette von grünen trauben war auf den stufen
wir sind zugleich stehen geblieben
haben in den himmel geschaut
gleich wieder auf den boden
er war hergekommen
wir haben nicht gewagt, von ihm zu sprechen
nur im stillen an ihn gedacht
gefürchtet, dass er nie wieder erscheint
endlich war die tür offen
der rote glanz hat geleuchtet
auf dem karierten papier
du hast nicht schreiben können
ich wollte das neue kleid anprobieren
und hab die knöpfe nicht aufgekriegt

院里的葡萄
又爬满架子了
窗子不再关上

去时装店给我买了一件新衣服
天黑下来的时候，又去
那个人很多的馄饨铺子
一人吃了两大碗馄饨
回来的路上
我们不吭声了
心里觉得有点不舒服
到家了
院子里那盏灯忽明忽暗
一串青青的葡萄落在台阶上
我们同时止住了步子
望了望天
又赶紧低下了头
它来过了
可我们不敢说
只是在心里想着
生怕它永远不再来了
门终于开了
红色的光神秘地铺开
在有格子的纸上
你写不出字了
我想试一试新衣服
却怎么也解不开扣子
它又来过了

EIFFEL TOWER
Going up the Eiffel tower
means walking up all the way
to the second platform
if you don’t have a ticket beforehand
and want to wait in the shortest line
at the south tier, which still takes an hour.
That is after you stood in line
and went through security
to get onto the square under the tower.
So the line takes an hour at least.
Then it costs 7 Euro per adult, 5 if you’re under 19,
3 under 10. That’s for walking up.
And we had walked all the way from the Louvre.
Through the Tuileries, took a left at the Obelisk
to get over the Seine. The Orangerie museum
looks interesting. We had already seen sculptures
by Germaine Richier and others in the Tuileries park.
I remember a sculpture by her in Bilbao at the art museum.
Would have loved to get a closer look in the Tuileries,
but they don’t let you walk on the grass. Weird sculptures,
not at all like the one in Bilbao. We had of course seen the Venus of Milo
and the winged Nike of Samothrake. No, those aren’t cereals.
And a hermaphrodite, son of Hermes and Aphrodite,
merged with a Nymph by Zeus at her urgent request.
Yes, male and female organs. Many, many Aphrodites,
many clothed, actually. Artemis, Pallas,
and all the men. Marsyas, soon to be flayed.
Not to speak of the paintings. Or the old Egypt stuff,
very well organized, shows daily life, work
and many, many details
from 4000 years ago and so on. Better than in Vienna.
Lots of busts and other stuff from Palmyra,
many other places in Syria. Yemen, too.

Anyway, up on the Eiffel tower.
Thousands of people up there at night.
Very special feeling. We had lunched in the park,
there is a place with benches on a little hill
very close to the tower. Yuhuan started sketching,
Including the lamppost in front of us. Everyone else flew
paper planes and ate and drank what was there
from the small supermarket
around the corner. Lunch at seven thirty or eight.
We came home to the hotel at two o’clock in the morning.
Subway at Bir Hakeim, not very close.
But interesting and working late. Some people get in free.
We are content with smuggling in a small child every time.
People ask for centimes when they’re asking for money.
Very polite, actually. Centimes, from the old currency.
Probably means fifty Euro cents now. I think one was asking for less
when I had my hands full this morning with groceries from the bakery
after getting up before noon. No, you don’t really notice
the permanent state of emergency
more than the propaganda for 2024,
for the Olympics. They made a deal with Los Angeles, right?
One comes first, one four years later.
Whatever. Should really eat something now.
