it is too late
city security already there
young man at the barbecue
tries to move faster
flipping the meat
I have ordered two sticks
city security getting impatient
starting to yawn
it is too late
my two sticks aren’t done yet
he flips them faster and faster and faster
oil sizzling
dripping down sending up
little flames one two three
all the way till my two sticks are done
packed and ready
he puts them into my hands
then he sighs with relief
just like any
apprehended criminal
accepting his fate
