Der Rasenmäher von Jim, dem Mann meiner Tante
passt zufällig zu der Popmusik
aus den Lautsprechern hier in Amerika.
Es wirkt wie im Chor,
ein langgezogenes
„Scheren schleifen!“ —
Ohne zu denken schrei ich unwillkürlich mit:
„Gemüsemesser schleifen!“ —
Plötzlich stoppt der Rasenmäher des Onkels,
mein chinesisches „Messer“ kommt noch halb raus.
Ich schau mich erschreckt um,
niemand hat mich gehört.
