HEIMATDIALEKT
Der Rasenmäher von Jim, dem Mann meiner Tante
passt zufällig zu der Popmusik
aus den Lautsprechern hier in Amerika.
Es wirkt wie im Chor,
ein langgezogenes
„Scheren schleifen!“ —
Ohne zu denken schrei ich unwillkürlich mit:
„Gemüsemesser schleifen!“ —
Plötzlich stoppt der Rasenmäher des Onkels,
mein chinesisches „Messer“ kommt noch halb raus.
Ich schau mich erschreckt um,
niemand hat mich gehört.

DISCOVERY OF AN ANGRY YOUNG MAN
My mobile phone weighs 16 grams,
it’s full of all kinds of data,
political theory,
philosophical research,
classical literature.
But only recently I have discovered,
my mom’s mobile weighs 128 grams,
and it has only my photo.
