presst schrille Klagelieder heraus.
Mein Hund wird ungeduldig,
er will ein Wolf sein.

LEGOLAND
Guess I should write a Legoland poem
so we can put all the photos online
or at least some of them
might be looked at
beyond Facebook memory
or Chinese social media.
Legoland is a wonderful city
everyone goes by their own free will
everyone of the children.
Lego Star Wars Movies
are really not bad
at least what I saw of it
with the children.
Should have bought DVDs
though they’re all Danish
with Nordic subtitles.
Wonder if they’re somewhere
but I don’t like movies online
or music or too much of anything
except maybe poetry.
Reciting poetry is not for Legoland.
But they have theatre,
medieval drama.
Actors get wet.
Most of the rides
mean you get wet,
and there’s the rain.
But we had fun.
It’s very peaceful.
Pirate room, holiday village
Chinese family in common kitchen
breakfast of champions
of plastic swords
includes extra room:
bricks, pinball games.
Bake your own pancake!
Guess it’s too wet
too expensive for terrorists
at least for now.
Go while you can.

TAARBAEK AND DYREHAVEN
never seen so many deer in my life
never seen so many, so many deer
up on the hill round the old castle
hermitage hunting lodge
little bit like a small belvedere
I mean the belvedere in vienna
but this is the forest,
as wild as it gets
next to a big city.
this is a very magical place.
herds upon herds.
some of the herds all have great antlers
some deer are black.
some are all white.
most deer are brown, as I have known them.
but I have never seen white deer before
nor seen a herd all with such antlers.
maybe small elk.
don’t know how they’ re called.
people walk by,
people ride through them,
riding on bicycles.
I am a little vary of them.
if they came charging,
what would we do?
my daughter maia is not afraid,
she walks right up to them.
some are a few meters away,
then they withdraw.
there are small kids,
not very shy.
two very small deer,
we are between them and their mother.
I wonder what happens if one is injured,
if one is sick.
do they care for each other?
once a year there are hunters,
we hear.
there is a barn,
maybe food for the winter.
kristian shows us mint by the road.
this is a long walk in the evening,
though it’s not very far.
you see the sea, you hear the train,
you even hear sirens
somewhere on roads outside the forest.
it was a long, magical walk.
if you live here, so close to the deer,
so close to the sea
you have a wonderful, privileged life.
one more thing: wikipedia says
the constitution was celebrated
june 5, 1854
30.000 people
in front of Hermitage hunting lodge
I wonder what the deer thought of that.

ROSKILDE CATHEDRAL
and death shall have every single dominion
every single sovereign of the realm
every hour st. george slays the dragon and it lets out a frightful wail
every morning there is the harbor there are the ships from ancient times
and when the walls came tumbling down joshua’ s men killed every man woman or child they could find
there are the fields by the cathedral there are the stones in the old ships
every flower every fruit every child is more important
and you can have every single dominion
every single sovereign of the realm

WIR, SCHAUM
schaum sind wir, rollender schaum
wirbelnde blasen, fliegende gischt
tanzende falter, blinkende blüten
wiegende gräser, flüsterndes laub
wind sind wir, schäumender wind
fahrende wolken, brodelndes licht
wehende steine, brennende sterne
knirschende kinder, flackernde nacht
ton sind wir, grollender ton

der letzte tag
der letzte abend
licht noch am strand
kam eine frau
mit einem kind
wahrscheinlich aus fremdem land
hoffentlich haben sie
unterkunft
wir gingen weiter

Chun Sue
EXHIBITION
you know the smallest number of people who ever came to my exhibition?
four.
myself, the gallery boss, a friend of mine who came all the way from denmark
and an old guy
who was lost.
he lived next door in a home,
mixed up the entrance,
walked in,
saw one painting,
bought it right away,
saying, “this is me!”
